The 5th edition of the Ghana Music Awards UK will be happening at the Royal Regency in London and SVTV Africa brings you behind-the-scenes coverage as well as the event.
The awards will take place on October 9, 2021, with performances from the reigning VGMA Artiste of the year, Diana Hamilton, Ohemaa Mercy, Efe Grace, Medikal, Gyakie and a host of others.
Speaking to the head of events Dr Kwesi Ernest promised a great show with thrilling performances. He added that the title sponsor; Kab Fam promises to gift awardees some electrical after the show.
“Kab Fam will be giving out TV sets, fridges and other appliances to those who win awards tomorrow. The presentation will be done at their residence in East Legon,” he said.
Dr Kwesi Ernest pleaded for support from government and corporate bodies to make such events a success.
“We met with the foreign minister hoping for government assistance. We also plead with the corporate world to support such events because it is expensive to hold,” he added.
The £20k venue will be ready tonight and will accommodate 2,500 guests due to COVID restrictions. GMAUK is an Allordia and West Coast Productions event.
