Recovered addict, Nafisa has sent out a word of caution to young girls living and hustling on the street to be wary of the lifestyle they live because no street boy will settle down with them.
Talking to SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami, Nafisa popularly known as Nafti Morad has shared her experience as an addict to inspire young ladies who live on the streets thinking that marriage may come up at some point in their lives.
“You will never get anything out of smoking. I smoked for nine years and I did not get anything out of it. No one will pay you and I’m a lady. The street boys will have fun with you, smoke and have sex with you but a street boy will never marry a street girl. It won’t happen,” Nafisa disclosed.
She shared with SVTV Africa how and when she began smoking. According to Nafti, “i was in JHS 2 when I began smoking. There was a man who lived in our house. He used to send me to go and buy them. It was weed and alcohol mostly but I didn’t know it will be harmful to my health.”
The mother of two concluded that presently she uses her life as an example to young ladies in the act. She believes that young ladies can do something better with their lives that than waste it on the street.
Nafisa sells perfumes in Tema as a source of livelihood and hopes to get a shop soon.
