Ghanaian mechanic, Lemuel Agyei has revealed that he has no confidence in the health or development sectors in Ghana.
Lemuel stated on SVTV Africa that his assertion was after he lost his left yet due to poor health service at the 37 military hospital in 2004.
”I was fixing a car and the metal sparks entered my eye. Eventually, I visited the 37 hospital and the doctor said they had to take it out. But they delayed the operation and transferred me to Ridge hospital.
At Ridge hospital, I was transferred again to Korle Bu teaching hospital but the harm had already been done. I lost my left eye,” Lemuel told host, DJ Nyaami.
According to him, if 37 hospital had made the necessary arrangement earlier for his transfer, his eye could have been safely operated on.
”The doctor at Korle Bu told me that my eye had been destroyed so he had to remove it completely to be used in practical lessons,” he revealed.
Lemuel added that he would not hesitate to take any opportunity to get out of the country even if it is to Libya or Niger because Ghana cannot be redeemed.
