Boxer and entertainer, Bukom Banku has confirmed the death of her mother and reveals details for her funeral.
Speaking with DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa, he indicated that his mother has been blind for over 20 years. However, she had been admitted to the hospital a week before her death.
Braimah Kamoko as he is privately known added that he will be travelling to Awukugua; where his mother lived to plead with family to allow him to transport her body to Accra for the burial service.
”I will go there to beg them so I bring the body to ’Ga mashie’ because Awukugua is far. Everybody know me for Ga mashie. People cannot go there, the place is too far,” he said.
Bukom also revealed that the former President, John Mahama will take charge of all the funeral expenses because he (John Mahama) is his father.
”I told Mahama that I want a gold coffin for my mother’s funeral. I will not spend on this funeral because my fathers are there,” Banku added.
