Mother of 4-year-old Emmanuel, Gifty indicates that her son rarely speaks and the stigma attached to his condition prevents him from attending school.
Speaking with SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami, the single mother revealed that she often quits her job due to Emmanuel’s condition.
“My madam told me my son drools on her customers so I should not come with him anymore. So I had to quit the job because I had no one to cater to him,” she said amid tears.
According to Gifty, Emmanuel’s father left their home after 8 years of being together and has since not heard from him.
“I traveled but when I got back, he had left the house. I contacted his family and friends and they told me he’s at Accra with another woman,” Gifty added.
