Ida Nyantakyiwaa is a trader at Okaishie market here in Accra and she makes some revelations concerning how difficult it is for parents to educate their children on sex.
Speaking on Daily Hustle on SVTV Africa, Ida explained that after she got pregnant, her parents didn’t mind her condition.
”Honestly my parents never advised me on sex-related issues. So I was ignorant. As a result, I got pregnant at JHS. Even after the pregnancy, they did not make any preparations for the man to marry me, ” Ida told DJ Nyaami.
Speaking on whether or not she would go back to school, Ida clarified that ”I wanted to go back after I gave birth but my mother said she can’t take care of the baby so I dropped out.
When I asked my father, he said that’s what I wanted so they won’t bother about that. My son is now 4 years living with my baby daddy.”
Ida sells pepper at Okaishie Market. She currently lives with her baby daddy but hopes to rent soon.
