Belinda Asumang, is a mother of three who sells cosmetic products on the streets of tema and a wife to a former microfinance staff; speaking to SVTV Africa, yesterday, she lamented how she has become the breadwinner for her family, making life so difficult.
According to her, the husband has lost his job, making her the breadwinner of the house. She has to always carry her products, with her 3 year old baby at the back.
Though sales is bad, she is left with no option than carrying them each day, revealing, sometime she makes 10 cedis the whole day; same money the whole family will feed on.
Adding that, their rent is even due but it has become difficult for them to pay in advance like they used to do.
She claims she was into rice business previously, but thieves on two occasions, had raided her stall making her hopeless and financially weak.
She is however hopeful with the little financial support, she will bounce back to the rice business..
