Add Drug addiction and its effects to the syllabus for study – Former Drug addict urges government.

The former drug addict, who is now going through detoxification at the St. Francis Rehab center, made this plead, sharing his experience on SVTV Africa, yesterday.

According to him, the government, must add it to the syllabus for students to know the harmful effects. He believes, this will totally prevent them from going for it.

‘’This will rather be effective than the dubbed message; abstain from drugs’’. He said.

The father of one, revealed that, his curiosity influenced him into drugs. He started as a cigarette smoker and later joined heroin, among others.

Speaking to DJ Nyaami, on some of the bad things he did as a result of drugs, he said; he used to steal just to get money to buy drugs and at a point, he was even jailed 5 years, with his father’s full support.

He however, emphasized that, his life at jail, has thought him a lot of lessons. Adding that, he is very thankful to his father for making him go to jail.

Shockingly, he revealed that, in jail, Nsawam precisely, drugs were been sold to some of his inmates through different illegal means.

“visitors brought weed, heroin among others, to prisoners. Some prison officers were even aware but they saw these drugs as necessary evil hence allowed its usage’’. He said.
