The downpour yesterday, in Tema, has caused flood in some parts of community 2, making car movements, among others very difficult.
SVTV Africa, upon visiting the scene, realized that, there were some choked gutters, in the said area, which may have been the reason for the flood.
On the scene, were these fire service officers, who were managing to solve the situation, with water pumps in order to make the road safety for it users.
A hawker by name Alice, narrated that, this situation have always been there, especially when it rains.
Adding that, many complaints have been made to the authorities but nothing seem to have been done.
‘’As for this place, anytime it rains, it get flooded; the situation this morning was very bad, people had to come and help push the stacked cars. I’m pleading on authorities to come solve this problem’’. She said.
DJ Nyaami speaking to one fire service officer, he said;
‘’ We were in the office this morning when people came to inform us about the situation, so hurriedly, we came to see how we can manage solve the situation.
Because the gutters here are choked, anytime there is a downpour, it will overflow it boundaries and cause flood’’..
