Your three-year-old can start having sex if you allow him, a psychologist and a transformational coach Scofray Nana Yaw Yeboah has said.
Speaking on 3FM‘s Saturday family programme Ideal Home, Mr Yeboah noted that parents who carelessly have sex in the presence of their toddlers must be prepared for the worst outcomes as their toddlers will begin to have sex too.
Scofray, who was on the programme with two other panelists, was reacting to a letter from a devastated mother whose 21-year-old son had impregnated his younger siblings, 17 and 14.
According to the writer, who blamed the situation on the closure of schools amid the spread of Covid-19, her children are usually left all by themselves while she busied herself at work as a missionary.
But guests on the Ideal Home programme largely disagreed with her, blaming the situation on lack of communication and bonding with the children.
They also expressed worry over little or no supervision on television and internet content the children are exposed to.
Psychologist and Transformational coach Scofray Yeboah was also concerned about parents who expose their children to sex at a tender age.
“Sometimes we take it for granted and just have sex around toddlers thinking they cannot process the scene and do not know what is happening. That’s a big lie; the children see all we do. In fact, as young as two or three years, your son can have an erection and start having sex. His mind has been exposed to the act and he will be eager to practice it. Parents must be careful they don’t expose their children to these dangers,” he said.
He also advised the woman whose 21-year-old son has impregnated his younger siblings to abort the babies as it remains the only option under the circumstance.
