Veteran coach J E Sarpong has advised Hearts of Oak to name the Pobiman Training Complex after their former coach Cecil Jones Attuquayefio.
The late Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio is considered the most successful coach of the club guiding the Phobians to two major African titles- the 2000 CAF Champions League and maiden CAF Confederation Cup in 2004.
Sarpong who has worked alongside the late Hearts of Oak manager thinks the club should honor Cecil Jones Attuquayefio by naming the Pobiman Training Complex after him.
“Accra Hearts of Oak must name Pobiman Training Complex after Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio for his Great Achievement for the Club, He played all his football for Olympics as a player but when he became coach for the Phobians he did the unpredictable by winning every trophy”, league tittles,FA cups, CAF champions league, CAF super cup and the Virgin CAF confederation cup,” he told Boss FM Sports.
“I’m very fortunate to have worked under him, the only sad thing is he could write a book for future generations but I’m trying to Honour him with a book which I have started”
The former Ebusua Dwarfs coach also described Jones Attuquayefio as the greatest club manager in history.
“My master was and is the greatest Ghanaian club manager in history,” he added.
The Phobian, on Tuesday marked the 5th anniversary of Sir Cecil Jones Attoquayefio’s demise.
