President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s social distancing directive forbids Ghanaians from getting into close contact.
However, actor, Salinko has stated that people can have close interactions in public once they have their nose masks on.
According to him, wearing of nose masks is one of the several preventive measures that has been adopted by the government to help curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus hence people can be in their nose masks and still have close interactions without being exposed to the virus.
“I know social distancing is a preventive measure that the state has adopted to fight the spread of coronavirus but since you can cover your mouth and nose with face mask I think you can get closer to anyone to have an interaction.” He told GhanaWeb in an exclusive interview.
He added that it’s normal for some Ghanaians to defy the measures undertaken by the government to fight the COVID-19 because citizens from the western world are also doing same.
Salinko, Vivian Jill, Sunsum, Nana Ama McBrown, Christiana Awuni, and many others had gone to the family house of the late Bishop Bernard Nyarko to commiserate with his family as they observed the commemoration of one week of his passing.
These actors were mostly seen in the same movies with the late actor.
Bishop Bernard Nyarko died on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital – Ridge Hospital.
He was a member and associate pastor of Grace Redemption Chapel.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s COVID-19 case count as of this morning May 11, 2020 stands at 4,700 total confirmed cases, 494 recoveries and 22 recorded deaths.
