The Church of Pentecost has dismissed one of its Senior Pastors in the Ahafo Region from “the full-time ministry”, MyNewsGh.com has confirmed.
In a circular to “all assemblies”, issued and signed by the Chairman of the Church and sighted by MyNewsGh.com, Apostle Eric Nyamekye said the man of God was found guilty of “immoral conduct”.
“The church is informed of the dismissal from the full-time ministry of Pastor Theophilus Nti Babae of Bechem Ahenbronoso District for immoral conduct. Let us bear him and his family up in prayer”, the Chairman said in his 7-point epistle.
Though the circular would not give any further details on the dismissal of the pastor, MyNewsGh.com sources at the local church say he was sacked after being caught on video tapes having sex with two blood sisters, who are both members of the church.
The said girls, our sources say are children of an elder of the same church.
MyNewsGh.com is reliably informed that, the sexually explicit videos of the pastor and the sisters landed on the desk of the Chairman at the national headquarters; the decision to outrightly dismiss him from the church was arrived at after careful investigations.
Until his dismissal, Pastor Theophilus Nti Babae, whose own father is also said to be a minister of the Church of Pentecost, was the District Pastor for Bechem Ahenbronoso in the Ahafo Region.
He studied Theology at the Pentecost University College and is happily married with four children, our checks have confirmed.
It is rumoured that he was set up by some members of the church who had had enough of his sexual indiscretion.
