Local flights have started operations in Ghana today.
This was after the Aviation Authority in a statement gave clearance for flights to fly to places within the country.
The statement from the Aviation Authority said the Authority has fashioned out measures to ensure the safety of passengers who will be oon board the various local flights as their operations start today.
The Authority was, however, quick to add that it will continue to review the various measures put in place to ensure the safe of passengers aboard the flights
Local Flight halted their activities when the President of Ghana as part of his measures to curb the novel coronavirus declared a partial lockdown in some parts of the country and a ban on human traffic across the various borders of the country.
Meanwhile, Passion Air and Africa World Airlines have since announced flight schedules to and from Accra, Kumasi, and Tamale effective May 1, 2020.
The schedule indicated that they will operate at least twelve domestic flights from Friday May 1, 2020 to Sunday May 3, 2020.
Announcing the flight, the Airlines called on passengers to be in the possession of hand sanitizers, Face masks and should ensure that they adhere to all social distancing protocols.
