Bosphorus restaurant and café has provided lunch to frontline workers at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
Mr. Okan, who led the team from Bosphorus restaurant, revealed in an interview with SVTV Africa that, the kind gesture was part of the Restaurant’s plan to motivate the frontline workers for their sacrifice in this difficult season of Covid-19.
He noted that, even though other institutions are equally helping in the fight against the deadly coronavirus, the health workers stand out among all and deserve some special clap for risking their lives; hence the need to contribute to their personal lives and appreciate their hard work.
“You know everybody is doing their best throughout this pandemic but among them, there is group that we appreciate their hard work and sacrifice.
They’re risking their lives, leaving their families – these are our health workers. Our Doctors and Nurses are working too much and doing very well since the outbreak of this pandemic and we want to make a small contribution to them – so we brought them lunch to encourage them to continue the good work.” Mr. Okan said.
Receiving the food on behalf of the 37 Military Hospital, Chief Nursing Officer, Col. Osei Vowotor Josephine on behalf the Hospital expressed their profound gratitude to Bosphorus restaurant and café for their generosity.
Col. Osei Vowotor extended her thanksgiving to the team and partners for being thoughtful of the hospital during this arduous season of COVID-19. She said, the gesture will boost the morale of staff and encourage them.
Bosphorus Restaurant & Cafe is a restaurant serving traditional Turkish food, with a few nods to other international cuisines. The restaurant is located at Labone – Josiah Tongari Street near Coffee Shop.
