Legendary Ghanaian Music producer Kaywa has explained the components of a hit song.

Kaywa who has recently been in the news for being at war with Hammer over Sarkodie's statements that there is more to maintaining a reigning artiste's status than just recording hit songs.

The renowned sound engineer David Kojo Kyei known in the showbiz environment as Kaywa in an interview with SVTV AFRICA said he believes what makes a song a hit song is the longevity of the song and how strong it can stand the test of time.

"Anytime I release a song and it quickly becomes a hit I get scared because it would die down any moment. " Kaywa revealed

Kaywa advised music producers to make the production of classical music that would remain in the hearts of individuals for long their priority rather than thinking of producing one time hit songs.

OKYEAME KWAME CONTINUOSLY LASHED AT ME WHEN I LANDED IN TROUBLE - WISA GREID

Hiplife artiste Wisa Greid known in real life as Eugene Ashie says big musicians in the Ghanaian Music Industry took to social media to criticize him when he was dragged to court for exposing his manhood on stage during his performance.

Speaking to Gatusso on the Aben wo ha show aired on Kasapa Fm, an Accra based radio station Wisa explained that although some respected musicians spoke to him and motivated him others like the "Rap doctor" Okyeame Kwame lambasted him and lashed out bad stuff about him on social media platforms.

"I have lost memory of his exact words but I clearly remember he was among the people who criticized me when I landed in trouble " Wisa said

The "Ekikime hitmaker " added that he was very disappointed in Okyeame Kwame because he did not expect such words from him.

DON'T FOCUS ON GHANA MUSIC AWARDS -TINNY TO ARTISTES

C. E. O of Badman Family Tinny has advised artistes to focus on how to make it in life and not on winning awards from Ghana Music Awards.

Explaining his statement, Tinny stated that Ghana Music Awards in one way or the other makes artistes feel bad and dampens their music career.

" I always say I won't let VGMA determine how good my music is because they would nominate you and give the awards to someone else making you feel you did nothing " Tinny stated in an interview with host Kwame B on Di wu lane mu.

Commenting on the Popular song of the year category, the Ghanaian rapper stated that for the popular song of the year category, the public is not supposed to vote rather the panel award themselves because it is a clear category.

Tinny added that "One corner" should have won the popular song of the year and not " Total Cheat".

VGMA AWARDS ARE "DARK"-TINNY

Nii Addo Quanyor better known by his stage name has labeled awards given out by Charter House and the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards as "dark".

According to Tinny, some "well to do" artistes pay for awards and though they don't deserve it their money gives them the ticket to win an award.

Speaking to Kwame B host of Kasapa Fm's "Di wu lane mu", the Makola Kwakwe’ hitmaker explained that rich musicians nominated in some categories buy airtime for their fans to enable them vote massively for them hence depriving "poor" deserving artistes the chance of winning awards.

"Although the show was an interesting one but the awards didn't go to right people " Tinny stated

The Ga rapper suggested that Charter house should modify the voting system in the award scheme.

IS VGMA FOR YOUR FATHER? - WISA GREID ASKS DISAPPOINTED ARTISTES

Hiplife artiste Eugene Ashie popular called 'Wisa Greid' has advised artistes who received no award at the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards to cool down since the awards does not belong to their ‘father’.

Speaking in a very relaxed manner at Kikibees Restaurant at East Legon, Wisa said artistes who received no awards must not feel bitter since it is an award and therefore not everyone will be awarded.

He added that organizers of the awards do not make the voting system transparent to the general public and therefore sees no reason why an artiste must take it personal when they receive nothing.

Wisa recalled that some years ago, he received a lot of nominations but received no award but never got angry and has since been used to the VGMA system.

MZVEE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT DANCEHALL - ADEPA

Ghana’s dancehall industry will soon be blessed with another young and enthusiastic female artiste, who is gradually entering with a new twist to dancehall music.

The firebrand, Gloria Fiatow Gyan popularly called Adepa who has only been in the industry for forty days has described MzVee’s music as burger highlife and not dancehall.

Explaining that on SVTV Africa, Adepa said ‘MzVee thinks she is doing dancehall but she’s rather doing burger highlife. Her songs are not dancehall at all’.

She further indicated that dancehall artiste Kakie used to be her favorite but has lost interest in her due to her sudden disappearance from the music industry.

Ghanaian actress who claims she has been impregnated by our very own musician Ernest Opoku has made some allegations against the musician.

According to NAYAS, Ernest Opoku asked her to provide some items so that he helps her movie "Endwene Bone" gain public recognition.

"Ernest Opoku is not filled with the Holy Spirit. How can a man filled with the Holy Spirit ask me to provide eggs, white calico,white colanut,one cedi seven so that he helps me make my movie popular?" Ernest Opoku told broadcaster Evans Amewugah on SVTV Africa

The actress who claims Ernest Opoku asked her to abort her 3 months old pregnancy added that Ernest Opoku may not be an "okay" person and may have problems with himself.

According to him "one corner" hit maker Patapaa deserves an award in the most popular song of the year category because Patapaa's music has toured all over the world.
