Awards are meant to appreciate one's good work and encourage one to do more. However some people become obsessed with awards after a while. The issue however is not the same with rapper, Dadie Opanka.
Ghanaian rapper Armstrong Affum popular known as Dadie Opanka has revealed that, unlike many artistes who are crazy and obsessed with awards. Awards are secondary priority for him.
He told DJ Nyaami in an interview on SVTV Africa that, even though award is good and it's to appreciate one's hard work, award is a secondary priority for him.
"Award is good even though it's no that serious. As a human being, awards make you feel good and gives you and the fans some bragging rights but me personally, award is a secondary priority for me"
He added that, his focus is always on his fans and music lovers, so once his fans are happy, it brings him joy.
Opanka advised his fellow musicians not to focus on awards but work hard and feed their fans with good music and let their fans be the ultimate judge.
Dadie Opanka is currently promoting his new love song "Sure" which features the sweet and loving vocalist Adina.
Opanka is among the artistes from Ghana who will be performing at this year's Ghana meets Naija on Saturday, 8th June, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre. The 2019 edition of Ghana meets Naija is proudly sponsored by Kpoo Keke.
